Hello Polk Elementary School Families and Neighbors,

We are excited to introduce a great new improvement at Polk Elementary. This summer, the worn out grass on our playground field was replaced with synthetic turf, providing students and community members with a cleaner, safer and more consistent surface for play throughout the year.

Starting today, Polk's playground and field will re-open and be available for community use outside of school hours when they are not being used for school activities or reserved events. To help protect this new investment and keep the area clean and welcoming, pets are not allowed on the playground or synthetic turf. All food and drink are also not allowed on the synthetic turf, including gum and sunflower seeds. 

We appreciate our Polk community and know we can count on everyone's support in caring for this shared space. By working together, we can ensure the new turf remains in excellent condition for our students and our community for years to come.
