Congratulations to Polk Elementary School Food Service Manager Kirstine Sonner, who has been recognized as the Southwest Region Manager of the Year by the School Nutrition Association.

Sonner has dedicated more than 33 years to serving students in Ogden School District, including the last two decades at Polk Elementary. She was honored for her outstanding leadership, commitment to providing nutritious meals, and the welcoming environment she creates for students each day. In addition to leading her school kitchen, Sonner mentors aspiring food service managers and is known for building meaningful relationships with students and families.

Her recognition highlights the important role school nutrition professionals play in supporting student success, both inside and outside the cafeteria.
