We loved seeing so many families at our Dual Language Immersion Night at East Ridge Elementary. From exploring classrooms to celebrating culture, it was a powerful reminder of the Power of Two!

Through Dual Language Immersion, students learn to speak, read, and achieve in English and Spanish, while building confidence and understanding of diverse cultures. From kindergarten through graduation, DLI sets students on a path toward academic success and future opportunities.

Missed the event? There’s still time to give your student the Power of Two! Apply now for our Spanish Dual Language Immersion program before the May 8, 2026 deadline.

Education Support Professionals Appreciation Day

The penny war will run from November 17th to November 21st
The competition will be held by grade level, the grade level with the most points will receive Donuts and Hot Chocolate. Students will also earn fun incentives as the school generates increasing dollar amounts (i.e. teachers singing and dancing, plus a school wide pajama day)

The money raised from our Penny Wars will help support members of our community this holiday season. Our goal is to help 10 children this holiday season. If we raise extra funds the money will be put back into the classrooms.

Please have students add pennies and bills to their grade level jar, and silver coins to the grade level they want to subtract points from. Please refer to the image below for point values.

How to play PENNY WARS

Positive Points
Each penny = +1 point
$1 bill= +100 points
$5 bill= +500 points
$10 bill = +1,000 points

Negative points
Nickel= -5 points
Dime= -10 points
Quarter= -25 points
