Hello Polk Families and Community!
As the principal of Polk Elementary, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. More than ever, I am excited for school to begin simply because I cannot wait to get to know each of you. This is an incredible community, and as we work together we will have an incredible year of learning for our amazing Polk students. Together we will continue to focus on creating a strong community of scholars who are Polk Proud: Prepared, On-task, Leaders, & Kind.
To help get you ready for this new school year here are a few important items of information:

Back-to-School Night: Thursday, August 15, 5:00-6:30 pm

Class assignments will be given out and students can come meet their teacher and see their new classrooms! Registration help will also be available, as well as information on YMCA Club and Preschool.

Bell Schedule:

Monday-Thursday: 8:20 am - 2:55 pm

Fridays/Minimum Days: 8:20 am - 12:20 pm

First Day of School- Friday, AuGust 16th

School Communication: SchoolBinder App

In an effort to streamline our communication, each teacher as well as the front office will be communicating with families and the Polk Community via the SchoolBinder App.

Drop Off/Pick Up: When dropping off students in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon, please use the drop-off/pick-up lane. Please refer to the following map.

Safe Routes to School: For safe walking routes, please see the Safe Routes to School Map for Polk. Please note that the city will be providing crossing guards at the following intersections:
